Linda Mary Cazin

Linda Age 39
Linda was born in Philadelphia in 1946 to Richard and Margaret Cazin. The birth was remarkable in that she is the second and last child born to Margaret Cazin, who had been a juvenile diabetic since 1924, the same year as the 1st marketing of insulin.
When Linda was age 5, the Cazin family moved to Trenton, NJ, where she was raised, went to school at Kuser elementary and Trenton High. The academics were not of particular interest at Trenton Central. She was more interested in the girl's swimming team, which she co-captained in her junior and senior years. There she won her share of swimming medals and qualified for the AAU national championships. She went for the experience and the final placement results reinforced that choice.
Linda graduated from Ottawa University, Ottawa, Kansas in 1968 with a BS in science. Her first full time employment was in the field of social work as a DSHS worker for Oskaloosa County. That job produced some of her fondest memories. Many years later the experience resulted in her earning a masters degree in Social work from the University of Washington.
In the meantime she was married, became a mother, earned a Bachelors in Nursing and was divorced, in 1978.
Her hobbies during the 1980's were primarily outdoor activities such as backpacking, hiking, masters swimming and running. In 1985 she ran her one and only marathon - the Seattle Emerald City - and was very happy to just finish after hitting the wall on mile 14; finsh time - 5 1/2 hours - It was really nice that the finish line was still there for the stragglers.
Charlie and Linda met in December 1991 with their first date being Feb 26, 1992.
Today Linda enjoys traveling with Charlie to Belize each year, often staying a bit longer than he in order to run Decked Out House. She has become an offical resident of Belize and will become elgible for Belize citizenship in 12/2011. (Dual citizenship US/Belize). This year she became a PADI recertified diver hoping to pursue scuba..
Decked Out House has become a 5 year project that comsumes much of Linda's time. She designed the house particularly for use by
vacationing families and
scuba divers. She produced the building plans, wrote specifications, and oversaw the project, which was - let's just say "interesting" - being a
woman taking on such a task in Central America!
Under construction - to be continued.
